Say Hello!
Elopement Inspiration in the Blue Ridge Mountains
Thinking about where to plan your adventurous elopement? You don’t have to go as far as you may think.
I am always convincing couples that the Blue Ridge Mountains in North Georgia are seriously stunners when they start to think about where they could elope. Yes, the PNW is great and all, but we have so much beauty right here in our backyard. You can have lush forests, waterfalls, hiking trails, creeks and mountain views all under three hours of Atlanta. Keep going a little further into the Appalachians and you can have anything you want.

There is such a variety of scenery that not enough people take advantage of. A lot of locations are pretty secluded at sunrise at sunset giving you plenty of space for you and your love. And if you’re from out of town, it’s easy to hop on a flight to Atlanta and make the gorgeous drive up, stopping in small quaint towns for southern food and antique finds. There are plenty of cute Airbnb’s to get ready in as well.
Emily + Terrell chased the moody fog up to the start of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Dukes Creek Falls paired with vibrant florals by Ten Point, made for an elopement lovers dream. This colorful bridal bouquet and alternative black dress screamed non-traditional bride and popped against the blues and greens of the woods and water. I’m so happy to see that color is coming back into weddings and elopements and how that creates an interesting juxtoposition with a natural backdrop.
If you’re into hopping over the rocks in the late evening fog so you can feel the freezing cold creek water on your toes…we’ll get along just fine. I love spending time in the mountains and they change every time I see them. Each season brings you something new. That’s kind of how love is, right?
