The Hogans // Industrial Loft Couples Session

Laid Back Lifestyle in an Atlanta Industrial Loft

Okay, can we please talk about how awesome this industrial loft couples session was? On occasion I will come out of nature and head in to the city. Especially when there are unique spaces and people calling in Atlanta. Schellie and William were just born to be rockstars. I mean seriously, look at them. These two were so much fun to shoot with. I felt like I was hanging with old friends, wrapping up a late summertime party and watching the sun set together by the pool.

I’m usually shooting couples somewhere outside. It’s crazy how much I actually don’t shoot in the city itself. When I do get the opportunity to shoot indoors or in the city, it pushes me to think outside the box and get creative. Having a blank space to do that in an industrial loft is always both challenging and rewarding.

There is also something special about capturing moments for couples in their own home. They’re in a safe place and it allows them to open up and just be themselves. They don’t have to worry about a ton of people watching them or getting in the way of the crowds. They can just be. I always feel honored when I’m invited in.

As wedding photographers themselves, Schellie and William were more than comfortable in front of the camera. I knew it would be a rad session when Schellie said to me “I just wanna look cool”. (Nailed it) It was pretty easy to create an industrial loft couples session amongst the concrete, huge windows and private rooftop overlooking the Atlanta skyline. I could have hung out on that rooftop watching the sun set a million times.

So if you want to hang out one evening in the comfort of your home, let’s do it! In-home couples sessions are a great place to start getting comfortable in front of the camera. We can share a bite to eat, chill by the pool or have a cocktail. Whatever your favorite past time is – let’s capture it.
